Collaborative Networks

Evaluation to determine whether Collaborative Networks encourages the diffusion of better management practices between similar firms through targeted activities designed to enable network creation.

3 November 2021

The Collaborative Networks programme seeks to encourage the diffusion of better management practices between similar firms through targeted activities designed to enable network creation.

The approach was first piloted in Cornwall for Hospitality firms and the North West for family-owned firms with a longer term objective to improve firm level performance and regional productivity.

This page features both impact and process evaluation reports.

Technopolis was commissioned by Be the Business to deliver a process evaluation of the Collaborative Networks programme to assess whether, in its early pilot phase, it has delivered against its aims and objectives, and what lessons can be learned to help improve future programme delivery and performance both within the pilots and for roll-out to other regions.

Be the Business appointed Technopolis to then carry out an impact evaluation, building on the work undertaken for the process evaluation of the initiative in 2019/20.
