Terms and Conditions:
1. To be eligible for the lottery, individuals must participate in the activities they are requested to complete from time to time by Be the Business as part of this initiative.
2. This may include:
a. a pre-event survey,
b. attending the event
c. immediate post event survey, and
d. an additional post event follow up survey.
3. In relation to clause 1& 2, some individuals may not be invited to attend, but waitlisted for a future event and still be asked to complete the surveys. Those waitlisted will still need to attend a future event to be eligible for the reward.
4. In relation to clause 1& 2, some individuals will only be asked to complete surveys and this will be clear at the point of the original invite.
5. If you are not asked to complete surveys, not waitlisted, or invited to attend the event, you will not be eligible for this competition.
6. If you are awarded a scholarship, Be the Business will inform you of the next upcoming Executive course dates.
7. The prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over who meet the terms set out in clause 8, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
8. Individuals attending the course should have a minimum of five years' work experience; a bachelor's degree, a good level of English.
9. If you are awarded a scholarship, you may substitute attendance for an alternative member of staff from the same organisation and long as those individuals meet terms 7 & 8.
10. The prize draw is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary.
11. Entries are automatically submitted based on meeting the terms set out above.
12. The opening date for entries is 13th March 2025. The competition will close after 500 individuals have met the eligibility criteria. Any individuals meeting the eligibility criteria after this time will not be considered.
13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault [technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure] of any kind or If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any error which results in part of the eligibility criteria not completed for any reason.
14. A winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process once all 500 spaces in the programme have been filled.
15. The winners will be notified by email or telephone using details provided at entry once all 500 spaces in the programme have been filled.
16. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter within 5 working days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
17. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is offered.
18. The prize is supplied by UCL School of Management, Level 38 One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AA.
19. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners, to anyone who emails DPO@bethebusiness.com. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter DPO@bethebusiness.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
21. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
23. University College London reserves the right to discontinue the Executive course and no alternative reward of the equivalent value will be offered.
24. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
25. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter's privacy notice.
26. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
