Inspiring Leaders Programme

BCS and Be the Business are working together to help members broaden their professional impact while supporting the growth of UK small businesses.

By joining a small business advisory board, you'll have the opportunity to share your expertise, strengthen your strategic and leadership capabilities, expand your professional network and gain valuable experience that contributes to your ongoing professional development.

the challenge

Planning your next move?

Are you tired of the same old course content and career advice, where you are expected to learn from theory alone? You know about the frameworks and the top tips, but something is still missing.

Maybe you are taking the next step in climbing your career ladder or are eyeing a portfolio career and you are unsure of where to start.

We are offering a unique and output-driven programme where theory and experiential learning come together to provide you with the A-Z on the real-world application.

A young woman with long brown hair works on a laptop in a colourful office space. She appears to be in an online call, as she is speaking at the screen and using her hands to demonstrate her point.

What’s in it for you…

  • Stand out from your peers when moving up the career ladder by becoming a more competitive candidate with real-world leadership experience.

  • Better understand the skills necessary to thrive at an executive level. This programme exposes you to diverse ways of thinking and encourages collaboration with leaders outside of core expertise.

  • Build relationships with other experienced leaders. This high-value network can open doors to future business opportunities, partnerships, and valuable connections outside your current industry.

  • Take the time to identify and reflect on your strengths and blind spots. Improve your self-awareness and emotional intelligence to become a more well-rounded leader.

  • The Inspiring Leaders Programme is recognised by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), offering alumni access to a pathway for further learning, and a CMI certificate of attendance.

As an Inspiring Leaders participant, you’ll take part in a range of activities that combine to provide you with a unique opportunity for development, and a sense of achievement and purpose.
